Nella mia famiglia è tradizione ogni anno festeggiare il Carnevale con gustose merende e tipiche ricette carnevalesche; la prime tra tutte è proprio quella delle Castagnole.
Mia madre Daniela, da buongustaia e ottima cuoca, nel 2010 ha scritto per beneficenza un libro di ricette semplici e veloci; "Stuzzicando l'appetito in ogni lingua" raccoglie infatti molteplici ricette, facili e veloci da realizzare, proprio per coloro che spesso per motivi di tempo e di organizzazione sono costretti a mettere da parte la cucina italiana.
Ogni ricetta all'interno di questo libro è tradotta in ben sei lingue: dialetto romagnolo, inglese, spagnolo, tedesco, francese e cinese!

In my family it is a tradition to celebrate Carnival every year with tasty snacks and recipes typical of carnival, the first of these is Castagnole. My mother Daniela is a gourmet and excellent cook, and in 2010 she wrote a book of recipes for charity that were simple and quick, "prodding the appetite in any language." In fact, it contains many recipes that are easy and quick to make, especially for those, who often because of time and organization, are forced to put Italian cuisine aside. Each recipe in this book is translated into six languages: Romagnolo dialect, English, Spanish, German, French and Chinese!

Qualche mese fa ad un mercatino dell'antiquariato ho scovato in mezzo a tantissimi oggetti queste vecchie tazzine, ognuna con su scritto il nome di un mese; è simpatico prendere il caffè assegnando ad ognuno quella con il proprio mese di nascita!

A few months ago at a flea market, I found many objects in the midst of these old coffee cups, each engraved with the name of a month; it is nice to have coffee assigning each one its own birth month!
Inoltre al posto del tradizionale cucchiaino mi piace utilizzare questi bastoncini di legno e zucchero, che si scioglie una volta immerso nel caffè.

Also, instead of the traditional spoon, I like to use these sticks and sugar, which dissolves quickly when immersed in coffee.
