McQueens florist in London!

 Carissimi amici,
condividere insieme a voi... mi siete mancate! Come avete trascorso la vostra estate? Io

My lovely friends,
I'm still ready to share with you a lot of story from my blog after my long summer
silence... I really missed you! How did you spent your summer? I decided to re-open the
Violet Wool's Autumn/Winter season with this post which contains the unmistakable
flowers scent od Old Street, in the heart of London; it's from here inside at McQueens
florist Shop that is released a mix of floral fragrances, from the most famous flower
shop in Britain.

in Giappone.

The McQueens Shop is an obligatory stop in London; founded by Kally Ellis in 1991, has
been a pioneer in the new English style of floristry. Today McQueens is a famous

in the United States, in Japan and beyond. Besides decorating the corners of some of the
most famous shops in London as ACNE, Harrods, Cartier, the McQueens stylist have
dressed also numerous events world-renowned as the Vanity Fair post-Academy Award
Party. Have a look at one of the guys of McQueens team at work!

It was a wonderful day in London for me. I was lucky enough to meet even the McQueens
founder, Kally Ellis, a sweet and determined woman at the same time, with clear ideas
and and convincing words: "I wanted to sell simple, stylish flowers, beautifully presented,
to the London market. And I knew people would love it". World-renowned is also the
McQueens Floristry School, also located in Old Street; this school admit a lot of young
people from all over the world!

Handmade Cosmetics in London: LUSH!

Freschi, divertenti, profumati, rivoluzionari, positivi, originali.
In una parola? LUSH!

Fresh, fun, scented, revolutionary, positive, original. In a word? LUSH!

Have you ever had to spend some hours in a store that has the power to hypnotize anyone coming in? It's happened to me in London in Lush Shop! It's located in Covent Garden and the smell that emanates this place is already perceptible at the market entry. All the products you find inside are handmade: soaps are mixed in large cauldrons and the funny thing is that they are cut in-store, based on the amount and form required by customers. Each product therefore will always be unique!

Lush doesn't like any kind of preservative, in fact most of products are preservative free and that is why, when they fall into your hands, Lush products have few weeks of life, in some cases a few days. In addition, you'll often find in the packages, as well as at the date of manufacture and expiry, even a friendly caricature of those who made that product. Is not it great?

Lush are fun to create original forms, for example these kinds of macarons are really fragrant shampoo; only "macaron" corresponds to 3 bottles of shampoo and with one of these you will come to do 80 washes... amazing!

The Lush cosmetics are made with selected pieces of fresh fruit every week! Look at some of these soaps:

 Pieces of figs!

Honey Soap!

Sultana!

Lemon pieces!

Ogni pezzetto di prodotto verrà tagliato e pesato davanti a voi!

Every piece of product will be cut and weighed in front of you!

Also about the packaging Lush uses the environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible; so using recycled cardboard, paper tape, cloth, plastic recycled. The bottles and jars of creams are made in Nottingham (UK), where a large collection center where the old plastic is selected, washed, chopped and then prepared for re-fused. Who returns to Shop with an empty bottle will have a free Lush products!

These scarves are made from recycled plastic!

Thanks to Santo and Maria Vittoria!

Handmade in London: laces, fabrics and more!

I was a guest few days by a special friend, Maria Vittoria, and together we've combed through every corner of the city.
London has more than 80 markets that sell anything from antiques to clothing, from crafts to vintage lace and a myriad of fabrics of all kinds; fans of the markets will not be spoiled for choice in this magnificent metropolis.
If you find yourself in London you do not miss the Portobello Road Market: this famous Street every Saturday starting at 8: OO am the largest antiques market in the world. You will walk between small shops with jewelry, vintage clothes, all kinds of trinkets and silverware.

Me and Maria Vittoria!

In una piccola piazzetta in fondo a Portobello Road ho incontrato due simpaticissime ragazze inglesi che insieme creano a mano bellissime agende, utilizzando magnifiche stoffe!

In a small square at the end of Portobello Road, I met these so nice english girls who together create beautiful handmade notebooks, using beautiful fabrics!

In Portobello Road, in one of the many markets that are penetrating into small street, my attention was caught by these beautiful earrings, whose origin is just as interesting!
