Carissime amiche,

quella di ieri è stata per me una giornata particolarmente entusiasmante! Diana del blog 

Apple Pie & Shabby Style ha realizzato una bellissima intervista sulla mia storia, sulle mie 

passioni, condividendola quindi con tutte le lettrici del blog. E' stato emozionante rileggere 

le sue parole intrecciate con le mie in una lunga ed unica avventura, ma soprattutto è stato 

straordinario leggere voi, il vostro entusiasmo, il vostro sostegno, il vostro affetto! Vorrei 

ringraziarvi davvero di cuore ad una ad una, perchè è proprio il vostro il commento più

 prezioso e costruttivo! Grazie mille!

Fabrics, prints & textures!

Catturare l'essenza di un luogo e intrappolarla in un'immagine capace di trasmettere

 la stessa magia è solitamente un compito difficile; non lo è però quando ad avere la

macchina fotografica in mano è la life-interiors phographer Joanna Henderson, una

delle mie fotografe preferite. 

Capturing the essence of a location and trap it in a image that can trasmitting the 

same magic is usually an hard job; it isn't true when we talk about the life-interiors 

photographer Joanna Henderson, one of my favorite photographer.

Il mix di tutti questi colori forti come il rosso, il  blu e il giallo riesce con un'immagine a 
trasmetterci eleganza e vivacità allo stesso tempo, ricreando un'atmosfera piacevole da 
immaginare. E voi che ne pensate?

The mix of these strong colors like red, blue and yellow makes the picture elegant 

and lively at the same time and creates a pleasant atmosphere to imagine.

Unique and antique by Christina Lundsteen!

"Pezzi unici all'interno di location senza tempo". Queste le parole della stylist Christina
Lundesteen; in continuo movimento tra Europa e oriente, Christina viaggia alla ricerca 
di tessuti vintage e d'epoca da tutto il mondo. Vuole creare cuscini e copriletti unici che

"Unique pieces  in a timeless location". This is the words of the stylist Christina 
Lundesteen; she's travelling all over Europe to find vintage and antique fabrics from
across the world. She wants to create unique pillows and bedspreads to bind together
authentic pieces of history with the modern design of 21st century.

La combinazione di tessuti antichi in un modo nuovo e interessante inebria l'ambiente

domestico con il profumo di terre straniere: l'immagine della porta blu appoggiata sul 

muro bianco ricrea un'atmosfera vacanziera senza tempo e il contrasto con il tavolino 

in gesso bianco mi riporta con la mente tra le bianchissime costruzioni (dai tetti blu

The combine of antique textiles in a new an interesting way intoxicates home

environment with the foreign lands scent: the image of the blue door resting on white

 wall recreates timeless holiday atmosphere and the contrast with the table in with 

chalk reminds my mind between the whitest buildings (with the blue roofs like the

Lo scorso weekend la creativa Daniela Poletti di Vetrofuso ha ospitato nel suo strabiliante

 laboratorio Nadia e Flo di Petit Noir, che hanno allestito il loro "negozio itinerante" tra le

vere e proprie opere d'arte in vetro realizzate da Daniela. Il risultato è stata una perfetta 

fusione di due universi paralleli: creatività e vintage chic. Infatti Petit Noir si occupa di 
ridare vita a capi importanti vintage e di esporli in maniera originale organizzando eventi, 
sfilate, shopping e ogni iniziativa pertinente al mondo della moda.

Last weekend the creative Daniela Poletti of Vetrofuso hosted in his laboratory Nadia and 

Flo of Petit Noir, who had set up their "itinerant shop" between the amazing art sculpture 

in glass made ​​by Daniela. The result was a perfect merger of two parallel universes:

 creativity and vintage chic. In fact Petit Noir wants to revive vintage clothes and expose 

them in an original way by organizing events, fashion shows, shopping, and all events 

relevant to the fashion world.

Lights & wood!

Finalmente ieri sera il tempo ci ha concesso la prima cena in giardino. E' proprio lì che è 

nata l'idea del tutorial che inaugura quest'estate, un portacandele sospeso tra la natura

realizzato con un semplice legno levigato, chiodi e martello, spago e candele bianche!

Finally last night the weather has given us the first dinner in the garden. Thanks to this

dinner was born the idea of my tutorial that inaugurates this summer: a candleholder 

suspended into the nature create just with a simple polished wool, hammer and nails,

twine and white candles!

Diesel at work!

 Lucidate con il vetrificatore per parquet il legno levigato e lasciatelo asciugare per circa

una ventina di minuti.

Polish with the wood glazer the branch and let it dry for about twenty minutes.

Dopo aver posizionate lo spago all'altezza che preferite, inserite i chiodini alla stessa 

distanza l'uno dall'altro sul legno; essi serviranno per rendere stabili le candele sul ramo.

After positioned the string at your favorite height, put the nails at the same distance from

each other on the wood; they serve to make the candles stable on the branch.

Accendete le candele e godetevi la natura!

Light the candles and enjoy your garden!

Interior styling: Versailles Chic shooting!

Ciao amiche!

Oggi mi piacerebbe parlarvi di uno dei due corsi che ho seguito alla Central Saint Martins:

Interior Styling. Si tratta di un evening course che ha l'obiettivo di formare uno stilista 

d'interni a trecentosessanta gradi. La presentazione del corso spiega quanto sia importante

 capire le esigenze del cliente per arrivare alla soluzione più soddisfacente; in base ad esse

l'interior stylist sceglie quindi i colori e i materiali più adatti alla situazione in esame. 

Inoltre il lavoro dell'interior è anche quello di scegliere gli accessori, trovare una location e

 creare veri e propri set e shooting fotografici da realizzare per le testate giornalistiche.

Ecco alcuni scatti realizzati dal fotografo della Central Saint Martins  durante lo shooting in

tema Versailles Chic che io e la mia adorabile compagna di classe Lauren abbiamo allestito.

Hello my friends!

Today I would like to tell you about one of the courses I attended at the University of the

 Arts Central Saint Martins: Interior Styling. This is an evening course that aims to form

a complete interior stylist. The presentation of the course explains why is important to

understand the costumer's needs to get the most satisfactory solution; according to

 them, the interior stylist chooses the colors and the materials that suit the situation best.

In addition, the interior stylist is the person that also chooses the accessories, finds a 
location and creates real sets and photo shoots to realize for advertising or for editorial.
 You can see some pictures taken by Central Saint Martins photographer during
 the Versailles Chic shooting  that my lovely classmate Lauren and I have set up.

E' stata un'esperienza decisamente costruttiva, ho imparato moltissimo e soprattutto mi 

sono appassionata a questo mondo grazie all'occhio critico di un'insegnante magnifica: 

Tara Larkin. Tara è l'Interior Stylist più famosa di tutta l'Inghilterra e ha arredato insieme

 al suo team alcuni degli appartamenti e dei locali più "in" di Londra. Date un'occhiata al

It was a very constructive experience, I've learned a lot and most of all I was falling in 

love with this wonderful world thanks to my teacher: Tara Larkin. Tara is the most

The flowers sunday!

La tipica domenica londinese, che sia sotto la pioggia o riscaldata dal sole, ha una tappa 

obbligatoria: Columbia Road. Questa graziosa stradina vittoriana situata nella parte Est 

di Londra la domenica mattina si colora e si anima con l'ormai noto Flower Market.

The typical Sunday in London, whether in the rain or heated by the sun, has an obligatory
stop: Columbia Road. This lovely victorian road is located in the East End and during the
sunday morning comes alive with the famous Columbia Road Flower Market & Shop.

Per assaporare l'autentica atmosfera di Columbia Road bisogna alzarsi presto la mattina

e godersi il mercato con un pezzetto di torta in una mano e un caffè bollente nell'altra; 

 tra le bancarelle fotografate da aspiranti fotografi e i negozianti che con accento Cockney

 urlano i prezzi delle loro piante più convincenti che mai ci si sente davvero un pò inglesi.

To savor the authentic Columbia Road atmosphere have to get up early in the morning 
and enjoy the market with a piece of cake in one hand and hot coffee in the other hand; 
among the stalls photographed by aspiring photographers and shopkeepers that with 
Cockney accent shout prices of their plants more convincing than ever is really easy to 
feels like a english people.

Lungo la strada si trovano numerosi negozi che vendono oggetti antichi e attrezzi shabby 

per il giardinaggio; potete inoltre trovare vere e proprie gastronomie italiane e spagnole

dove godervi il vostro brunch domenicale in una delle zone più emergenti di Londra!

Along the street there are a lot of shops selling antiques shabby chic tools for gardening; 

you can also find some italian and spanish restaurant where enjoy your sunday brunch

in one of the most emerging street of London!
